This year the annual Gatlinburg Fourth of July Midnight Parade features your favorite basketball team - the Harlem Globetrotters! The event, hosted by Visit Gatlinburg, is dubbed the “First Independence Day Celebration in the Nation” and draws thousands of spectators each year. The parade begins at midnight each year in downtown Gatlinburg to kick off the Fourth of July holiday.
New this year is the Globetrotters who are set to lead the patriotic parade as grand marshalls. TNT, Scooter, and Bulldog will be the lead float, introducing the parade as it makes its way down the Gatlinburg Parkway.
TNT, Scooter, and Bulldog will also be available during the day on July 3 at the Gatlinburg Convention Center from 2 - 4 p.m. for autographs and photo opportunities. This free event, sponsored by Rocky Top Sports, is open to the public and features music, mascots from surrounding attractions, and of course, official Harlem Globetrotter memorabilia. Anyone in attendance can register for an exclusive 2-night summer getaway in Gatlinburg plus an authentic, Harlem Globetrotters autographed signature game ball.
If you are in the Smoky Mountains area, show up to support your Globetrotters. Happy Fourth of July!
