Biography:
Bear Butler is rocking the rim in his first season with the Harlem Globetrotters.

He started playing basketball when he was seven, after becoming interested in the game from watching his uncle play and seeing games on TV.  Bear worked hard on his game as he grew up and became an All-State First Team player at Rancho High School in his hometown of Las Vegas.

Bear started playing college ball at Arizona Western, where he became a junior college All American, using that stepping stone to propel him to Azusa Pacific, the alma mater of Globetrotters teammate Special K Daley.

“Special K and Ant (Atkinson) should be on a reality show together, because they are really funny,” says Bear.

A fan of the LA Lakers and Dallas Cowboys, Bear enjoys listening to music and can’t get enough of grilled chicken.

He is truly honored to be part of the Globetrotter fraternity.  “Growing up, I never thought I could achieve something like this.  It is a privilege and a true blessing to be a Globetrotter.”

Watch for Bear stalking the rim when the Globetrotters are out on tour.
