Minnesota Viking Pat Williams Suits up for Globetrotters; Donates Tickets to Friday's Game

(MINNEAPOLIS, April 11, 2008) – The World Famous Harlem Globetrotters added some serious muscle to their lineup on Friday, April 11, during the first of three weekend games at the Target Center, as Minnesota Viking Pro Bowl defensive tackle Pat Williams lined up with the basketball magicians during the Globetrotter Football portion of the show.

Williams, who was named an NFC Pro Bowler the past two seasons, also graciously donated 100 tickets to Friday night’s game to the African American Adoption Agency, Minnesota's first full-service, non-profit adoption agency designed to move children of color from foster care to permanent families.

Celebrating their 82nd consecutive year of touring the world, the Harlem Globetrotters have played in 118 countries on six continents, entertaining over 125 million fans and crossing barriers between cultures, societies and people from all walks of life.  The organization is one of only six teams to be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
